Touched against Iran, English captain Harry Kane will pass a scanner

Hit in the right ankle late in the match against Iran for England’s first game, striker and captain Harry Kane will undergo a scan, several English media announced on Wednesday. On Monday, Kane complained of his ankle after an opposing tackle (50th) but was only replaced fifteen minutes from the end of the match by Callum Wilson.

If Kane had limped off slightly, coach Gareth Southgate had been reassuring after the match. “I think Harry is fine. It looked like a bad move, but he continued the game. We substituted him because we felt we could afford him at that point in the game.”he explained.
