The November-December UNFP Trophy escapes Seko Fofana

Middle of RC Lens, Seko Fofana was in the running for the UNFP Trophy for the best player of November-December. He didn’t win it.

It was PSG striker Kylian Mbappé who was finally chosen with 39% of the votes. Seko Fofana is far from unworthy with 36% of the vote. He was definitely well supported in the selection proposed by the UNFP, the players’ union, since he is from Rennes and a former resident of the Gaillette Benjamin Bourigeaud which comes in 3rd position (25% of the votes).

Out of 4 trophies awarded, this is the 3rd time that a Parisian has won after Neymar (August), Lionel Messi (September) then the Rennais Martin Terrier (October). As a reminder, in Ligue 2 the UNFP trophy for November-December was won by the former Lensois of Amiens Gaël Kakuta.
