Interviewed on the red carpet of the Critics’ Choice Awards, the actress had to face an unforeseen wardrobe that she nevertheless knew how to manage perfectly.
The show must go on. While appearing at the Critics’ Choice Awards this Sunday, January 15 at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles, Amanda Seyfried had to deal with a wardrobe problem. Her golden vintage Dior Haute Couture dress, whose sleeves evoked a kind of golden stole covering her shoulders, was certainly sublime. But the outfit, which the 37-year-old actress accessorized with a diamond necklace and Stuart Weitzman heels, was unfortunately a little difficult to wear.
As she arrived at the ceremony, the top of the dress indeed began to slip dangerously. While interviewed on the red carpet, Amanda Seyfried told Scott Evans of Access Hollywood that he was literally tearing himself apart. Always with a smile, the star of Meangirls showed how easily the sleeves threatened to come off: “I’m just going to take my dress off. I’m just going to take it off, it keeps falling off.” She couldn’t even finish her sentence, when the whole thing sagged a few centimeters, in the most comical timing. But she added: “Honestly, it’s old, but it’s beautiful!” and with mischievous pleasure, amused herself by discovering her shoulder with the false air of a seductress.
Amanda Seyfried later took to the stage at the Critics’ Choice Awards, where she won Best Actress in a Miniseries or Movie for her role as Elizabeth Holmes in The Dropout. She then wore a black leather jacket over her dress. Safety assured.
