Christopher Nkunku suffers a torn knee ligament

Hit in the knee on Tuesday during training with the France team after a duel with Eduardo Camavinga (who, however, does not touch him), Christopher Nkunku (25) was forced to say goodbye to his dream of competing in the Cup of the world 2022. In recent days, the echoes raised fears of a fairly serious injury and a period of unavailability of up to more than 2 months. This Saturday, RB Leipzig finally communicated on the nature of the injury.

“Christopher tore the lateral ligament in his left knee on November 15 while training with the France national team. It is unclear how long he will be out; there are several treatment options for this injury”, can we read in the press release of the club. Fortunately, the cruciate ligaments were not affected, but this injury could keep him away from the lawns for a while.
